Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel has tested positive for COVID-19.
McDaniel tested positive on Wednesday after being exposed to the virus through a member of her family but did not report the diagnosis until Friday morning, according to a statement obtained by the Washington Examiner.
“After a member of her family tested positive for COVID-19, the Chairwoman was tested for the virus. On Wednesday afternoon, she got confirmation she was COVID-19 positive. She has been at her home in Michigan since last Saturday,” the RNC statement said.
The news comes after President Trump and first lady Melania Trump said they tested positive for COVID-19. Hours before, it was revealed that White House adviser Hope Hicks had tested positive for COVID-19.
