“Victims of Socialism” posters at the State University of New York at Buffalo were ripped down after a Young Americans for Freedom chapter spent hours placing them around campus. The posters were advertising an upcoming event on the evils of socialism featuring George Harbison.
According to the New Guard, “the campus Left did not take well to the eruption of conservative ideas around their campus. The lawless leftists began tearing down and vandalizing the posters. Upon returning to campus Friday morning, the members of UB YAF found that not one of the chapters posters remained untouched.”
While many posters were simply torn down, others were vandalized and left with expletives and defamatory statements directed toward the club.
“Y’all are f*cking dumb,” one poster read, adjacent to dozens of other “Feel the Burn: How Socialism Harmed Millions” posters which had been ripped off the walls.
Campus leftists went so far as to print their own posters to replace the ones they ripped down, renaming the “Young Americans for Freedom” chapter as “Young Angry Fascists.”
“Ironically, the definition of fascism is the forcible suppression of opposition, but the events of the past week have proven that the only group forcibly suppressing opposing ideas is the campus Left,” Young America’s Foundation stated in a press release.
