We all know Michelle Obama is a trend-setter, but does she really deserve blame for a growing number of women getting plastic surgery on their upper arms?

The American Society of Plastic Surgeons reported this week that upper arm liposuction (or brachioplasty) procedures increased 4,378 percent from 2000 to 2012.

So the ASPS polled women to see who has the most coveted arms, and the first lady came out on top, with 31 percent saying (in a self-sampling online poll) that they want Obama's arms more than those of Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Biel, Demi Moore or Kelly Ripa.

Obama cites her workouts and diet when asked about her toned arms, but we all know genetics plays a role in the tautness of those upper triceps. Still, ASPS warns that brachioplasty leaves a significant scar, so we all should probably resign ourselves to baring what we can.
