Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee joked on Wednesday that he cooked the turkey pardoned by President Trump a day earlier.
“Uh oh! U see the turkey @realDonaldTrump pardoned at @WhiteHouse ? Well @PressSec asked me to ‘take care of it’ and I may have misunderstood. Yikes!” the father of White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders tweeted.
Photos of Trump pardoning the turkey and a turkey cooking in an oven accompanied the tweet.

Trump pardoned Drumstick at the White House on Tuesday after the turkey won a poll on Twitter.
Drumstick and Wishbone, an alternate turkey, arrived in Washington, D.C., on Sunday and checked into the Willard InterContinental Hotel.
The two turkeys will spend the rest of their days at Virginia Tech’s “Gobbler’s Rest,” where the two turkeys pardoned last year by former President Obama are living.
