Vice President Mike Pence this month will host a fundraiser for his new political organization, Great America Committee.
The invitation, obtained by the Washington Examiner, invites donors to an evening event on July 25 with "special guests" House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif.
In an email promoting the fundraiser, Marc Lampkin, managing partner of the Washington office for the law firm Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, says that additional VIP attendees will include House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady, R-Texas, "along with over 100 members of Congress."
"It is certain to be an event you won't want to miss," Lampkin, who describes himself as a founding member of Great America Committee, writes in the email.
Great America Committee is a "leadership" political action committee. Tickets to the fundraiser cost $5,000, according to the invite, the maximum annual donation to leadership PACs allowed under federal law. The location isn't provided but described by Lampkin as "near the Hill."
President Trump's 2020 re-election kickoff fundraiser was held in June in Washington, D.C., at Trump International Hotel, which is on Pennsylvania Avenue Northwest, not far from Capitol Hill.
