Vice President Mike Pence said Wednesday marks a year of unprecedented accomplishments for President Trump and his administration since he won the election exactly one year ago.

"One year ago Wednesday, President Donald J. Trump won a historic victory. But even more historic has been President Trump's record of accomplishments ever since," Pence wrote in a USA Today op-ed Wednesday. "It's been a year of action. It's been a year of results."

Pence said voters can thank Trump and his team for the "roaring" economy, 1.5 million new jobs, high confidence among manufacturers and a booming stock market.

"After eight years of lackluster growth, the economy has already expanded by at least 3 percent for two quarters in a row," Pence added.

The former Indiana governor credited the growth to Trump's "decisive action to spur a new era of opportunity, prosperity and growth," including his support for the coal industry.

Pence touted the appointment of Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch, enhancement of immigration policies, and the boost to America's military as evidence of a successful first nine months in office.

Trump is chasing down the Islamic State, pressuring North Korea to remain at peace with the world, and putting Iran on notice about its opposition to the nuclear deal, Pence added.

"With renewed American strength, the president is achieving real results on the international stage," Pence said. "It has been a year of accomplishments, and we’re just getting started. Before this year is out, we’ll pass historic tax cuts for the American people."

Trump's approval rating as of early November is 39 percent and 57 percent do not support his work, according to a RealClearPolitics average.
