Police in Montgomery County are asking for the public's help in identifying those who vandalized cars and property in Bethesda with offensive markings.

Police say a series of vandalism incidents occurred overnight from Feb. 16 to Feb. 17 in the Woodhaven neighborhood of Bethesda.

Officers responded to a call at about 3:15 a.m. on Feb. 17 to the 6700 block of Melody Lane where they found a vehicle and parts of a property had been spray painted. Profanity and images of male genitalia were on the vehicle.

Also in the area, police found a police K-9 vehicle had been tagged as well with anti-gay comments, profanity and a swastika.

Later in the morning, officers responded to two other vandalism reports in the 8200 block of Wahly Drive where suspects had painted a light post and a large landscaping rock, which has a swastika on it.

Police are asking anyone with information to call (301) 657-0112, and are offering a $2,000 reward.
