The chairs of the Veterans Affairs committee have reached a deal on legislation to reform the embattled agency and will introduce the bill this afternoon on Capitol Hill. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Rep. Jeff Miller, R-Fla., reached a deal over the weekend to reform the agency and its health care coverage for veterans.

The deal comes after revelations of problems within the department including extended wait times for veterans needing health care. Sanders and Miller were able to reach an agreement just days before Congress will take its summer recess.
