A majority of registered voters believe the GOP tax bill will personally benefit President Trump and the Trump Organization, according to a Morning Consult/Politico poll released Wednesday.
The Nov. 9-11 survey found 56 percent of voters think the legislation would help Trump and 57 percent say the same about his billion-dollar real estate company, and fewer than one in five voters don't think Trump will benefit in any way.
Forty-six percent say the bill is more likely to help Trump than their own families.
A little more than half of voters, 54 percent, want Trump to release his tax returns before the tax proposal clears Congress. One-quarter of people do not feel the step is necessary.
The online poll was conducted with 1,993 registered voters nationwide and had a 2 percentage point margin of error.
