Derrick Arthur: Kidnapping suspect shot his way past dozens of police outside Northeast Washington hotel and escaped through National Arboretum in 2005. Three years later, Arthur was featured in The Examiner, and a reader tip led to his arrest, on Oct. 7, 2008.

Mark Clements Sr.: Wanted for attempted murder in Prince George's County and two sex assaults in the Pittsburgh area, captured Feb. 27, 2009.

Andrew Courtney Jenkins: Convicted sex offender arrested June 2009 after reader showed Examiner article to a D.C. police officer, pointed to the suspect and said, "There's your man, right there."

Ferose Khan: His capture in March 2010 later helped federal investigators take down the largest federal government contracting scandal in United States history.

Richard Lilly Sr.: Self-claimed Aryan Brother wanted for sexual assault in Charles County. Caught hiding between a mattress and a box spring in May 2010.

Denise "Neesy" McCall: Heroin dealer had been wanted for 15 years for violating parole. Captured May 2010.

Keith Daniels: Convicted murderer out on parole was wanted beating and rape of a woman in her home. Apprehended March 26, 2010.

Omar "Clarence" Weaver: Former high school All America basketball player and streetball legend wanted in armed carjacking. Surrendered in March 2011.

Kendrick Phillips: Accused of killing 16-year-old and stuffing his body in a closet, arrested May 22, 2011.

Marcellus Jackson and Keir Johnson: G-Rod street gang members accused in killing of rival outside a funeral on U Street. Jackson also wanted for another killing in Adams Morgan. A reader led authorities to the duo in North Carolina, where they were captured in December 2011.

Meinrad Ekani Pierre: Convicted kidnapper who eluded authorities for more than two years. Captured in mountains of western Maryland in July 2012.

Elvys Valenzuela: Accused of stabbing his roommate in the head during a fight at their Hyattsville home. Apprehended October 2012.
