The driver in a one-vehicle crash on a rain-slicked road in Northwest Washington a week ago has died from his injuries, D.C. police said.
The accident happened April 30, around 1:30 a.m. The weather was rainy and the street was wet, police said.
According to D.C. Police, 38-year-old Paul Henry Rondelli, of Brentwood, was trying to turn onto Fifth Street Northwest from Harvard Street when he lost control of the sport-utility vehicle.
The 2001 Dodge Durango struck several objects and overturned. Rondelli had to be extracted from the SUV by D.C. firefighters, and taken to a hospital.
Rondelli died from his injuries Sunday.
This case remains under investigation.
