‘What the hell is going on?’ — Trump is worried about liberal turn in Fox coverage: Report

President Trump is worried about Fox News’ recent coverage of him, according to a new report from the Daily Beast published on Tuesday.

Citing anonymous sources, the outlet reported that the president has asked three people about the network’s recent coverage, adding that he asked them, “What the hell is going on at Fox?”

He is also said to have told them, “I’ve been good to them.”

The report also claims that the president views Fox mogul Rupert Murdoch’s sons as “very liberal” and has asked friends at Fox News about them.

Trump’s reported disapproval comes as he has been more critical of the network during the month of July.

Just on Tuesday, the president directed his ire at chief White House correspondent John Roberts for his coverage of Trump’s speech honoring the 400th anniversary of Virginia’s first representative legislative assembly. At the time, a Virginia legislator interrupted the president’s remarks, and the president disliked how Roberts later focused on the disruption.

“You gave the protester 100% of the time. I don’t care about coverage. The last thing I need is coverage. But listen, hey, John, 100%, not one word of the speech, and we were there about the speech. The protester didn’t look so good to me. I’m gonna be very nice. You give them 100%,” the president said.

Prior to that, Trump expressed his frustration for the network’s poll that had him losing the 2020 election to both Democratic front-runner Joe Biden and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

He also recently described the network’s weekend anchors as “worse than” “low ratings Fake News @CNN, or Lyin’ Brian Williams.”
