North Korea has a nickname for Trump, after Trump called North Korean leader Kim Jong Un "Rocket Man."

"[T]he warmongers including the old war maniac of the U.S. are kicking up frenzy while calling for 'military counteraction' and failing to come to their senses," the government said in a statement Friday.

North Korea also called Trump a maniac on Wednesday, along with other names.

"Such maniacs as Trump who are fond of war should be tamed only with fire," it said.

"A mentally deranged hooligan Trump recently spit out unprecedented rubbish at the U.N. General Assembly that he would totally destroy the DPRK," it added.

Trump warned Kim at the U.N. this month that North Korea is at risk of being destroyed by continuing its nuclear weapons program, and by lobbing two missiles over Japan. Trump said in New York that Kim is on a "suicide mission."

North Korea this week also slammed the Trump administration for blaming North Korea for the death of Otto Warmbier, who was held by the regime and returned to the U.S. severely injured. He died just a few days after his return.

"Trump must ponder over the catastrophic consequences to be entailed by the anti-DPRK smear campaign and bear in mind that they will totally be to blame for all unsavory events to be caused by the wagging of his tongue," a spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry said Thursday.
