President Obama mocked ABC News White House reporter Jonathan Karl for questioning him about his plans for war in Syria should Congress vote against his proposal.

Karl told Obama that he still hadn't heard a direct response to the question, which was asked earlier by another reporter.

"Right, and you're not getting a direct response," Obama replied. "Brianna asked the question very well, you know."

"It's a pretty basic question," Karl responded.

"Do you think I was going to give you a different answer? No!" Obama responded.

Obama added that he wasn't going entertain the idea of Congress turning down his proposal to act in Syria.

"I’m not going to engage in parlor games now, Jonathan, about whether or not it’s going to pass, when I’m talking substantively to Congress about why this is important and talking to American people about why this is important," he said.
