During an emotional speech at the White House today, President Obama asked that Americans across the country demand stricter gun control measures.

“Tears aren’t enough. Expressions of sympathy aren’t enough. Speeches aren’t enough. We’ve cried enough. We’ve had enough heartbreak.” Obama insisted, demanding that Americans to turn their “heartbreak into something real.”

Obama called for Congressional action on universal background checks, magazine limits, and hinted at an assault weapons ban.

“It’s not taking away anybody’s gun rights,” Obama insisted.
