“It’s hard,” President Obama explained during his statement defending his unpopular health care bill against critics Thursday. He also warned of “glitches” in the implementation of the bill.
“This is a big country, and the heath care industry is massive and there are tons of providers and so as we implement, there are going to be be glitches,” Obama said, reminding the audience that “certain states” would continue to block the law for “political reasons.”
Obama downplayed the complications, reminding Americans that there were similar problems with Medicare and Social Security implementations.
“There were folks who for political reasons, resisted implementation, but once it got set up, people started saying, ‘This is a pretty good deal,’” he insisted.
