Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley will be heading to Israel in April, a common stop for presidential hopefuls.

The trip is meant to replace an eight-day trip canceled in November due to the exchange of rocket fire between Israel and Hamas.

O'Malley's original trip would have had him visit Jordan and Ramallah, a city in the West Bank, as well as Israel. He was to be accompanied by Maryland business executives.

The April trip would be O'Malley's second to Israel.
