CNN anchor Poppy Harlow on Thursday mistakenly invited listeners to hear the French national anthem, when it was really the U.S. national anthem being played during President Trump's arrival in the country Thursday.
As Trump was greeted by French President Emanuel Macron, a band began to play the "Star-Spangled Banner." Harlow then interrupted a segment to say, "Let's just listen in to the French national anthem for just a moment."
After a few moments of the song playing she corrected herself with a laugh, saying, "The U.S., American national anthem, I should say, let's listen."
Trump is visiting France to meet with its country's leaders, as he celebrates Bastille Day with them.
CNN has been highly criticized by Trump as "fake news," as the network has had to issue corrections regarding its coverage of the probe of Russia's influence on the 2016 election.
