WHO: Feminist icon Gloria Steinem

WHAT: Instead of congratulating the Republican Party for nominating its first female vice presidential candidate ever, Steinem carped in a Los Angeles Times Op-Ed that “[Sarah] Palin shares nothing but a chromosome with [Hillary] Clinton.”

WHY IT'S DIM: The godmother of “choice,” who transferred her political allegiance from Clinton to Barack Obama, is now dissing a female vice presidential candidate because the Alaskan governor made choices Steinem doesn’t like.

CURE: Steinem should just admit she’s a Democrat first and a feminist second.
