Some People Still Don't Get It

WHO: Rep. Jerry Lewis, R-CA

WHAT: Admits to PE.com that "the earmark business is kind of out of fashion," but vows "we've got a job to do to bring every dollar we can back to the district. My intention is to do everything I can to see that Southern California and our district get their share."

WHY IT’S DIM: Republicans lost control of Congress in 2006 largely because of the culture of corruption created by earmarks. Somehow that message just hasn’t reached Lewis.

CURE: Retirement
