Palin was attacked for being a real American, with traditional Founder's principles. Do you DC weenies really think she has to turn the other cheek forever? Tell Natie Beeler to shove it!

Is Nate ever funny? How did he ever get this job? He is the joke!

Nate, I think the carton is great! It's unfortunate the previous commentators apparently had to resort to ad hominem attacks merely because they disagree with you...

Obama continues to blame GW Bush for things that he is responsible for. Is Palin held to a higher standard because their ticket lost the race?

Boo! Hiss... Doesn't work for me...Palin's human and perhaps just a little too direct for some folks. If she thinks being open about what happened during the campaign is the right thing to do at this time it's her prerogative. Wish more politicians would "point fingers" and tell it like it is, instead of covering their "you know whats".

Well, Palin has a pretty long history of blaming everyone else for her mistakes and problems. Awesome cartoon, Nate.

Those of you who actually buy her shtick ("Palin [tells it] like it is" and that she is a "real American") need to have your heads examined. There is nothing honest, direct, upfront about that woman.

Amazing. Not the cartoon, which is spot-on, but the reactions from these so-called readers. I wonder how many of these rabid mouth-breathers have so much as read an article *about* Palin's book, nevermind actually looked at it. And yet Nate is somehow the bad guy.

PLee is spot-on as well. Palin's alleged "folksy" charm is just another political tactic. She's been a public figure for 25 years; the record clearly shows what her personality was like before the '08 election. Sorry, people. You don't get to boo Nate on this one.

BOOOO!!!! "Reason Prevails", and to a lesser extent "PLee" demonstrate very clearly why the name-calling nasty Palin bashers are such a turnoff. Palin is very clearly a pretty open/honest woman. The only rabid mouth-breathers I've seen recently are Palin bashers who just can't help themselves when her photo flashes on the screen (or in a cartoon). I normally love Nate's cartoons, but disagree with him on this one.

And yes, I have seen coverage of the book, read about the book, and listened to interviews by journalists covering the book. "Reason Prevails", you're no Katie Couric. Although, Katie does the whole conservative female denigration thing pretty well, so I can see why you tried.

Forgot to mention in that 7:03PM post: I thought Nate's use of a Mrs. Frump to illustrate the Palin basher (who likely hadn't read the book) was pretty funny, even if I disagreed with the message.

Palin bashers, my butt. I find it amusing that you would call Plee and Reason Prevails Palin bashers for voicing an opinion different from yours.

For the record, as a woman who voted as an Independent, I would have jumped at the opportunity to support a strong female candidate. However, like PLee and Reason Prevails point out, I find Palin's complete disregard for the facts disgusting. "Palin is very clearly a pretty open/honest woman." Now, that comment made me laugh. Right--you, like all those Fox News nuts, continue to ignore the numerous sources that point out Palin's deceitful fabrications or dishonesty. Even McCain's camp has come forward to counter the claims made in Palin's book. But, of course, EVERYONE ELSE is lying but Palin. No wonder you admire her--you're clearly cut from the same cloth.
