Ashley Judd: Breathless

Among the millions of people who are excited by the election of President Obama is Ashley Judd, as she demonstrated at the 40th birthday luncheon for NARAL Pro-Choice America at the Hilton Washington Tuesday.

After flubbing a few lines, Judd, who emceed the event, stopped and said, “I need to take a breath. I get so excited.”

After a brief slide show featuring Bush and other anti-abortion politicians, during which the crowd booed and hissed, Judd remarked, “It’s so nice to live in America again.”

NARAL President Nancy Keenan, whom Judd called the “Barbra Streisand of the pro-choice movement” because “she does it all," had the mostly female crowd cracking-up during her speech, as she showed a picture of the bathroom at NARAL’s headquarters, which sports a photo of President Bush signing anti-abortion legislation.

“Can you think of a better birthday gift?” Keenan questioned as the picture morphed into the new president and this year’s newly elected Democratic senators.

Also on hand for the event: freshman Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., and Pulitzer-Prize winning writer Cynthia Tucker.

Tho I agree with having abortion available, I do not agree with its irresponsible uses.... My mother is 80 and grew up when woman were dying from having this done in back rooms...so I do agree it needs to be here. However, I prefer keeping the child! Well I for one am now ashamed of my country for the 1st time in my life. I never thought this day would come. A day when the expression of ideas would be silenced and open debate would be replaced with back door deals. I fear that my grand kids will have no rights left. That they will be dependant on what the goverment thinks they deserve. We have not learned anything. "A democracy will cease to be a democracy when the people learn they can vote money for themselves from the coffers" That was said not in observation of the USA but of the ancient Greeks. Those who do not learn from the mistakes of history are doomed to repeat them. Last I checked the the Greeks were conquered. I recently saw the movie, "Bug" with Ashley Judd. One of the most dreadful movies i have ever had the misfortune to see. Thank G-D, i didn't pay for it. Her character is a white trash waitress, who lives in a cheap motel. She meets a stranger, who eventually moves in with her. He believes that "bugs" are tormenting him, all be it they are invisible. Soon he has Miss Judd convinced of it, as well. The rest of this "movie" is the both of them, holed up in the cheap motel, fighting imaginary "bugs". Having accepted defeat, they then pour gasoline over themselves, lite a match, and that is the "movie". It appears from Miss Judd's remarks, that she still has not rid herself of the "bug" problem. "Cute" comments, from a washed up, actress, "ahhhh', it's good we don't have to see or hear from her that often".

Why do pro-aborts always think women are FOR abortion and say how prolifers are always men? That's ridiculous. I've been a woman all my life (what a concept) and have three pro-life daughters. I attended the rally in Washington, DC last week with 300,000 other people, about half of which were women. Hardly any woman I know supports abortion, although in the past several had them. After the March for Life last week 100 men and women gave their testimonies about the horrors of their abortion experience. Ashley Judd is an ignorant embarassment to women. She thinks nothing of murdering babies, but does not want a wolf in Alaska killed. She states this without knowing why a predator may be killed, such as over-population causing disease,etc. Maybe, she better take her neurotic, depressed self back to a psychiatrist or get another facelift or something.Sara Palin is an impressive leader and Ashley a psuedo-intellect, who sounds like she majored in P.E or Interior Design. If she feels like an American now that Obama is president,that again shows her stupidity. His Socialist, Marxist ideals will hurt us all and ruin our country. If she feel so strong about being able to kill babies, please do not talk to anyone about wolves. Your president voted yes to late term abortions, where the infant, if born alive, lays in a utility room in the O.B wing to die. Think about that, stupid.

Ashly Judd needs to leave Alaska's Wildlife issues to the people that live there and to Govenor Palin to manage. I lived up there in 1975 near North Pole. After the ban of hunting wolves for bounty, wolves became so over populated and were coming into town eating pets and dragging away children! You people that don't live there don't know!!!! Leave the Wildlife Issues to those that KNOW whats really going on!!!

About Ashley Judd and the Alaskan Wolf issue; I think it was green peace that was able to stop the bounty on wolves in the 70'S. The State's people fought it and the bounty was brought back just in time. There were many pet dog deaths they were being eaten off their chains in their back yards and several attacks and deaths on children and people. Nature needs help sometimes to keep a balance. Wolves breed out of control! Alaska's Govenor knows what she's doing. Let's support her please! Ashley you need to find another hoby for your time and money.
