George Allen: Still got game

He was in a room full of women, but former Sen. George Allen, R-Va., still couldn’t resist his beloved sports metaphors.
Allen was invited to give the Conservative Women’s Network’s monthly address Friday (once a year, it invites a man to speak). And right away, the ex-jock launched into it. 

“Conservatives will have to play tenacious defense on Capitol Hill” next year, he said.

Ditto when the issue of the stock market came up. “It’s like watching a basketball game,” he said of the Dow. “Just watch the last five minutes. It might go up, it might go down.”
