Pelosi: 100% Barack's gonna win

There are only 15 days left until Election Day, which means that pundits and pols will be busy predicting who will win come November 4.

We caught up with Speaker Nancy Pelosi at Georgetown's Café Milano Friday night and she didn't pull any punches.

"100% Barack Obama is going to win!" she told Yeas & Nays. "He's going to be our next president and a great president at that. We're all excited to work with him."

But that's not what Rudy Giuliani thinks. We found him palling around with Yogi Berra at the Washington Hilton Saturday night and he's still got his money on John McCain.

"He's going to do great," Hizzoner told us. "He's looking strong for November 4."

But conservative pollster Frank Luntz -- begrudgingly -- thinks Pelosi's correct. On Friday's "Real Time with Bill Maher" on HBO, Luntz said, "I believe Barack Obama is going to be the next president of the United States. … John McCain cannot communicate. Stevie Wonder reads a teleprompter better than John McCain."

Nancy Pelosi is a fool. "We're all excited to work him?" really? Did she actually say that? Are you sure that this isn't just another display of the absolutely horrid editing in online news? Shouldnt it read 'work WITH him'? Is that really what she said? Because we know it is true. That is why the dems nominated him - because HRC was too smart to be 'worked' but Obama is new, young and inexperienced - and yes - the dems Are Going To WORK him!! So when you go to the ballot box and pull the lever for Obama, consider this. The next day, when you go to work, look at your boss and realize THIS is the man who writes your check, not Obama. Is that check going to be fatter under Obama, after he takes your boss's profits and spreads it around - or - will it be fatter if McCain lets your boss KEEP his profits for a pay raise for you?? Anyone remember the '82 California governors race? Bradley led by 13% 2 days before the election and by 10% in exit polls. Ooops, but he lost to Deukmejian by 50,000 votes. This election will be the upset of the century as 10% or more swing to McCain on election day despite what they tell pollsters. 55%-45% McCain in a landslide (you read it here first).

skm343 is right, although I think it will be McCain by 3-4 points. People take polls at face value. The problem with all these polls is the same problem with the ones that showed a Kerry win. If you check the methodology of the polls, they are all weighted approximately 39% to 32% favorable to Obama in expected turnout. They are trusting that all of the young voters and the new voters that have been signed will show up at the polls. The problem is that they never have in the past. If you had to go out and find a person to register, odds are that they are not going to put forth the effort to goto the polls. There is absolutely no reason to believe that the turnout will be any different than the 37%/37% De/Rep split which has been the historical norm. If you refigure the polls with an even split of turnout, McCain wins by 2-3 points. By the time election day rolls around, I believe that if Obama has any less than a 6 point lead in these polls, he loses the election.

Regarding the election: John Sidney McCain is going to win a convincing victory by achieving far more electoral college votes -- as a result of many states going to him by small margins -- than anticipated. I believe his campaign, despite its perceived faults, some of which were real, has been brilliantly reengineered so as to have him come from behind and overtake Senator Obama in the public esteem right when it counts -- when elections are won -- in the 72-hour countdown to the polls. what ever happened to hope? i HOPE that my vote counts, that my choice wins, that my taxes will go down so that i will have more money on my pocket, that we win the war in iraq and afghanstan, that people will vote based on real issues and not skin color. why should i hope for any of these things if nancy peolsi comes out and says the race is over? why do my hopes matter naught? why do the hopes of america mean nothing. why does her opinion mean that the race is over? i dont get it but it makes me angry. i want to think that i matter and the liberal dems have decided that i dont. its as if nancy and obama are feeling that as long as they have the black vote and the youth, no one else is consequential. this opinion of hers makes me more apt than not to get out there and actually "get into peoples faces" about why they would remain poor or become poor under an obama regime.

The definition of insider trading is "the illegal buying and selling of securities by persons acting on privileged information." People do not give up. The polls do not reflect everyone in the US. Also, if you look at the polls, McCain is w/in 2-4 points. The media is beating these polls on the American people to discourage you. Get out and vote! If memory serves me, I remember when I was a military service member on active duty and I was explicitly notified in writing that we were not allowed to advocate for or to be involved in politics while on duty and in uniform? What gives Mrs. Pee the right to do the same? She is saying that my vote as a civilian does not count- such incredible arrogance. Why should we vote if nobama is going to win. Effectively, that is what she is saying. Whether Mrs. Pee is on duty or off duty, everyone knows what she is and therefore her opinion counts in every way. The arrogance is astounding! With polls so close, the election could go either way. Pelosi is funny though, she said she is 100% sure Obama will win. Reealy Pelosi? There is not even a little doubt in your mind. Eveyone should remember: Even if Osama is put into office by election or stealing the votes, HISTORY of this great country will continue, AND on the correct path. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's home district includes San Francisco. Star-Kist Tuna's headquarters are in San Francisco, Pelosi's home district. Star-Kist is owned by Del Monte Foods and is a major contributor to Pelosi. Star-Kist is the major employer in American Samoa employing 75% of the Samoan workforce. Paul Pelosi, Nancy's husband, owns $17 million dollars of Del Monte stock. In January, 2007 when the minimum wage was increased from $5.15 to $7.25, Pelosi had American Samoa exempted from the increase so Del Monte would not have to pay the higher wage. This would make Del Monte products less expensive than their competition's. Last week when the huge bailout bill was passed, Pelosi added an earmark to the final bill adding $33 million dollars for an "economic development credit in American Samoa". Pelosi has called the Bush Administration "corrupt"............... She should know.

There's hope for McCain yet. Don't forget that John Kerry was leading George Bush by the same amount at this time before the last election. As long as McCain sticks to the attack on Obama's "spread the wealth around" policy, people will come to their senses while in line at the polling stations and choose the candidate who's looking to create new wealth NOT redistribute existing wealth.
