$30k donor to Obama Victory Fund arrested for insider trading

From Clusterstock:

Prosecutors and the FBI have announced that they have filed charges against several people involved with the Galleon Group hedge fund, including founder Raj Rajaratnam. Galleon is a major hedge hund player known for its investment in technology stocks. Most notably, the government is filing criminal charges related to insider trading in a number of securities going back to 2006. So this is much more than a standard SEC civil charge.

So, I looked up Rajaratnam's campaign contributions, and found, among others, this $30,800 donation in August 2008 to the Obama Victory Fund, a joint fundraising committee that divided the proceeds between the Obama campaign and the DNC (which was, by then, effectively, the Obama campaign).

The New York Times has the indictment.
