Ouch! But, what can you expect from a lobbyist for itself?

Do they wonder at all why people are not renewing memberships with them? Or, maybe they don't care.

How on God's green earth can AARP members justify spending their children..and grnadchildren..into fiscal hell? Name two governemnt program that have come in under budget (I am guessing there has to be one..am feeling safe asking for two).

Like most federal programs it will be expanded....and expanded...with no regard for the cost.

We quit AARP a while ago. It's just a left wing lobby. I suspect most members are there for the perceived discounts (not that great!) and are not insightful as to their views.

Given our government "for the money, by the money, and of the money", what else would you expect?

Washington only makes sense if you translate what appears as political issues into dollar equivalents. The US wouldn't have the best government money can buy were it not so.

I called to cancel membership a few weeks ago- told them they were doing a disservice to their subscribers by backing this bill- I was informed that their name is not "American Association of Retired People" and hasn't been for 10 years0 that "AARP" stood for nothing- i agreed!Have been amazed at the number of ads for AARP insurance in last month- wonder how big the bribe"stimulus" was to back this abomination

Pathetic AARP

Booooooooo AARP . . . What a greedy organization!!! These directors should be run out on a rail for supporting this terrible bill. My wife and I will never support them until we get a letter in the mail saying that every one of their pathetic directors resigned or were kicked out. AARP sold out America.
