Capital punishment for "global warming deniers"

I have compared global warming alarmism as a kind of religion, complete with its own versions of sin, repentance, atonement, ritual (kids go through recycling drills) and indulgence (purchase carbon offsets to compensate for your private jet travel). Now it turns out that there’s another element: a desire to kill heretics. Here’s a collection of calls for executions of “global warming deniers.” I don’t see any specifics on what method should be used. Burning at the stake, an old favorite, might produce too much in the way of carbon emissions. Lethal injection might require use of petrochemicals produced from carbon-emitting fossile fuels. Perhaps hanging by the neck until dead with a noose made of natural fibers produced on a certified organic farm which was not reclaimed from rain forest.

Michael Barone, you are right about the deranged zealotry of the global warming believers. They sound ready to kill the guy who placed the "GLOBAL WARMING IS BALONEY" sign on some Burger Kings. They argue that the sign was not in the franchise agreement! Did the franchise agreement include clauses forcing the franchisee not to place any signs that contradict the lies and scams that Obama may deem necessary to destroy the country and impose socialism/communism/Marxism (or whatever you want to call the government taking over, enslaving people and destroying everything)? Obama's global warming/cap-and-trade scam would destroy the U.S. economy. Doesn't it strike you as sad how far our freedom of expression rights are being curtailed in the U.S.? A sign stating the truth -- "GLOBAL WARMING IS BALONEY" -- is being treated as a unspeakable crime!

Zealotry? They have went far beyond zealotry. It is a pseudo-religion. They are as extreme and radical as any Islamic terrorist. We have been far too tolerant of their radical views. We are going to have to get just as nasty and mean.

Just across the street from where the Great one practice institutionalized nonfeasance (voted "present") in Springfield, Ill is thier state museum with a multi-million dollar natural history exhibit in part describing the 2 million year old ice age the earth is undergoing. We are now in the 12000th year of it's 31st warming cycle caused by the earth's orbital and axial dynamics. That's where all those glaciers went that created the Great Lakes, etc. And guess what---they'll be back in about 40,000 more years! Two lessons: 1. Global warming isn't new, and 2. People don't cause it. With the GW zealots, Bernie Madoff's clients and the 63 million voters who believed a democrat who said he'd cut taxes, P.T. Barnum must be spinning in has grave wishing he was alive today selling bridges because surely suckers are being born every minute---if not every second. It's amazing, absolutely amazing!

The global warming/climate change initiative is a fraud, plain and simple. The objective of the fraud is to control the population and extract more money from them.

From the time they enter day care, we permit our children to indoctrinated by these frauds. What do we expect? It is now too late for moderation. Only very extreme methods will cure this illness.

DIDN'T NASA STATE THE OTHER DAY THAT THE LACK OF SUN SPOTS IS THE REASON FOR CLIMATE CHANGE. ARE THESE IDIOTS GOING TO FIX THE SUN??

73% of the earths surface is covered by water. The oceans produce three fourths of the gasses that make up our atmosphere. The energy ebbs and flows from the sun are responsible for our climate variations.

I am astounded at the stupidity of you all. Are you guys young earth creationists too? Oh, this is a waste of time. Never mind.

Looks like Gillian has drunk too much of the kool aid and has to resort to name calling since there is no real proof of man made global warming. Many of us understand that there are things beyond the control of us humans. We did not create the sun, nor can we control it.

I'm particularly disturbed by the number of U.S. government officials at the link. Luckily Mr. Hansen works (worked?) at NASA, an agency with no law enforcement powers. However, the EPA certainly does, and the comments by anonymous emailers there are particularly chilling. I'm just glad RFK Jr. hasn't followed his father's footsteps into the Attorney General's office.
