Each and every one of the 75 who still want to give child prostitution supporter ACORN taxpayer money have the letter "D" after their names... "D" must stand for despicable, deplorable, and dangerous.

ACORN will simply continue with their name change (soon to be Community Organizers International) and the federal funding will continue uninterrupted.

This is an ongoing national criminal enterprise, and it will enjoy continued protection from Obama/Holder and their MSM allies.

The comments here are what's despicable, deplorable, and dangerous. So a couple of a corrupt people captured on a tape that's been edited to make them look even worse are reason enough to cut off all federal funding to a whole organization? With no other inquiry or investigation besides said heavily edited tapes?

If those are our high and noble standards, well, the House's next vote might as well be to disband itself. I'd imagine there's a lot more corruption there than there was in ACORN!

Whomever runs against these 75 hacks has a clear shot to be elected if in neighborhoods other than black. If things are the way they are in November 2010 as they are today, I'd bet on the republicans in spite of their gross idiocy, taking back both houses. The anointed one knows this. That's why he wants these bills pushed through express speed> Doesn't matter to dems if it takes 50 years they will get their legislation through. Republicans have to be tougher and destroy the democrat party with anti American hearings and inquiries to check links to the communist party.

mach10

Sep 17, 2009

The saddest part of the black caucus voting to support ACORN was to support skin color not the criminality. I get the message that blacks are not ready morally to lead a 2 car funeral forget leading America. That would mean 2 sets of rules for laws and that my dear people is racism in the highest possible form.

Dr. T.

Sep 17, 2009

Yeah, it's Fox News' fault. These poor saps were secretly recorded. Let's charge the two people who visited these fine offices with a crime. Am I missing something here? Get real people. We have a criminal organization here. Stop all funding, and file criminal charges at once. Full scale investigation is in order. And I'm sorry Kevin Hayes, but you are the problem! Wake up!

If none of the Republicans had voted, the bill would have passed by a margin of

Look at it this way: almost 70% of Democrats oppose funding ACORN, and every single Republican realized that the majority of Democrats are right.

RLJ

Sep 18, 2009

We need a deeper investigation into who these supporters are and what their previous connections have been with ACORN, including the possibilities of voter registration fraud and contributions in their last election campaign. I suspect we will find that ACORN has been using grants paid by taxpayers to contribute to these campaigns. As Bush bashers used to say this issue is to important to wait for evidence to begin an investigation.

DarrenN

Sep 18, 2009

I am calling, leaving messages, writing my republican senator to have him open a full investigation on the 75 who opposed de-funding ACORN. There is speculation the 75 Democrats may be involved in illegal political contributions through ACORN. Please do the same, ask for those 75 to be investigated.

Don't miss CSPAN Washington Live this am (onlive archive) with Bertha Lewis criticizing "Mister O’Keefe" for having such a slanted view "of an organization that is predominantly African-American" that when he wants to approach it he feels that he should "dress up like a pimp." She is sure "that his mother is not proud of him." AND…she hopes that "he is paid well by the right wing" because "we all need to make a living somehow." I'm always glad when leaders take responsibility and quick action to correct mistakes.

not Dave in Memphis, really

Sep 18, 2009

I fully agree with Bertha Lewis, Mr. O'Keefe has ruined the credibility of legitimate non-African American performance artists that might approach ACORN for help. Where are they to go now?

How will persons with housing or tax needs that like to wear mink in the summer ever expect to receive help at ACORN offices now that this trust destroying expose has been produced?

"I think the next time a couple of employees at the businesses YOU all work for act stupidly on company matters, your workplace should be shut down."

A swing and a miss. If someone walked into five different branches of the company I worked for, and the randomly selected employees offered the same advice on how to successfully commit a felony - one involving underage prostitution and CHILD SLAVERY - then yes, they should be shut down. If you don't think they should...

You know, seriously, I just don't get it. Are you people that blindered, that you can just pretend that this grotesquely criminal organization is just an innocent group being bullied by mean old right wingers? That's... that's just sad, really.

And smugly making fun of the people horrified by this group? Beyond sad, and bordering on sick. Seriously, dude, you should probably get some help, there.

When you think of Congressman Jim McGovern of Massachusetts, think of child prostitution. Jim Mcgovern = taxpayer subsidized child prostitution.

"I wanted to start an illicit bussiness that was so grotesque that Bank Of America said it was too sick and evil for EVEN them. So I called Congressman Jim McGovern and he put me in touch with ACORN. Thank You Jim McGovern and ACORN, you guys are some real hard core, sick puppies."

As for those that are trying to paint ACORN as child sex traffickers...remember the last time you tried to smear someone with your perverted accusations? Just a friendly reminder how that turned out...unlike a certain QUITTER, David Letterman still has his job. And just like Letterman, ACORN isn't going anywhere.

Sadly our congressman in California Mike Honda chose to support organizations such as Acorn after it was shown supporting prostitution and under age girls for prostitution. Sadly it has been sown time and time again that Mike Honda does not listen to his constituents but only those that can contribute large amounts of money. Sadly Mike Honda seems to be a pervert.
