Mad Hatter Rove sounds off on Tea Party

Oh, Karl Rove. Your book landed with a bit of a thud! The world isn't ready for your revisionist take on GWB -- not yet! Give history more time to re-evaluate him before you tell us that "Heckuva job, Brownie" was so completely misunderstood!
We really thought that big book advance you got meant you would show a little ankle and give us something other than a fulminating treatise on the greatness of former President George W. Bush. Oh well.
But in any case, you are now widely available for cable and other hookups with your book to shill. Today you were on CNN's The Situation Room. Wolf Blitzer asked, does the Tea Party help or hurt the GOP?
"The answer to that is yes, it will help and hurt," Rove said. "The Tea Party movement is a wide and diverse group. It will hurt the Republican Party if some elements of the Tea Party decide to become third party advocates because it will split the conservative vote.
Some members of the Tea Party, however, want to follow that course. The vast majority, I think, want to remain and are trying to figure out, in a decentralized, grassroots way, how they can remain a force, a movement that holds the feet of elected officials in both parties to the fire over questions of debts and deficit and spending and growth of government power."
