New York Times to Paterson: You're outta here

In a new editorial, the New York Times is calling on New York Gov. David Paterson, the state's first African-American chief executive, to withdraw from the 2010 governor's race. "As well meaning as Mr. Paterson has been," the Times writes, "he is not the right person for New York over the long haul."

The paper says the Obama administration's effort to give Paterson the hook was "unwelcome and amateurish." Nevertheless, the editorial says Obama's push provided "a focus for what Mr. Paterson ought to be doing in coming months."

The paper suggests Paterson is simply not up to the job of crafting a state budget and dealing with the New York legislature -- a concern the Times has had ever since Paterson succeeded the scandal-plagued Eliot Spitzer. But the paper argues that Paterson would somehow be more up to the job if he were freed "from the need to raise money from favor seekers" -- that is, if he weren't running for a full term.

"You have no business running for re-election, Boy."

That's what I read, at any rate.

This is the "liberal rag" that endorsed the Spitzer-Patterson ticket. Shove this garbage back to them. Why endorse someone who is incompetent in the original election. The NY Times is a lying, deceitful, left wing, rag.

What would you expect from a "news"paper whose de facto managing editor is named Obama?

Let the people(NY) decide. It is called voting. We are in the US right?

Whoever defeats Patterson needs to get the same treatment that Mark Green got from Al Sharpton.

Paterson probably knows more than Obama about governing. Obama knows nothing. So let Paterson do his thing and run. As is said, let the voters deceide. Obama can't handle the job he has, he should stay out of NY's business.

Obammie knows nothing about economics and is historically illiterate. So following the NYT logic, Obammie should get the boot too. (And he will!)

Spare us! Outside of a few blocks Manhatten no one cares what the NYT says. They are a bunch of irrelevant guilty white liberals. Ignore them!

And this, from a paper no one reads or cares about.
