I'm not seeing much clear thinking from the peanut gallery. Sure its payback to Immelt, but maybe this is a good sign of a renewed relationship between Russia and the US; which is a much more strategically important relationship than Poland or the Czech Republic, for crying out-loud. Unless this system is a huge upgrade from the useless Patriot missile system then it was more propaganda then a working system. I'm much rather see US companies like GE get the contracts and jobs than Euro, Chinese or Japanese companies, wouldn't you?!!? We absolutely need Russia if we're going to shutdown Iran's nuclear weapons program, period, end of story. That is the primary foreign policy challenge in the near future and this seems like a small price to pay to gain some leverage with Russia.

No news here. Who could have possibly not already known about the Obama-GE ties? I can assure you that future US government contracts awarded to GE will be no-bid contracts. GE is also the only company that doesn't have to separate its banking from their other operations in order to qualify for Federal bailout money. To date they have $160 billion in government money, but you won't even hear them mentioned by the mainstream media. I wonder why?

@Spirit - missile defense is no joke. I'm not sure how recent your information is, but the defense industry (private companies) has already demonstrated the ability to knock out a vast majority of incoming missiles in live tests. The protection offered by missile defense is already real and is becoming more real with each advance in targeting technology.

ENLIGHTENED AMERICAN - the school books now are a joke. They lie or don't even mention half of what is true about history. You need to go back to the books in the 50's 60's & 70's. I'm not sure about the 80's but I do know that terriost attacked the World Trade Center when Clinton was in office & he did nothing about it. Then on 9/11/2001 they attacked the World Trade Center again & at least Bush went after them. But I did hear that David Brinkley son has written a history book I believe they said was being used in school & he won't even mention that it was terriosts that did it. I am ashamed that the history books are being changed by a bunch of liberals that think it is their job to rewrite history. Maybe that is what is wrong with Obama he studied too much of the wrong history & got too much training in the Muslim religion.
