Pelosi tells Michael Jackson resolution to beat it

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said the House will not take up a resolution honoring the Michael Jackson because doing so would open up the floor to a potential barrage of criticism about the late pop star and the controversies that plagued his life.

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas., announced at the Jackson memorial service that she was drafting a resolution that would recognize his humanitarian efforts.

Instead, Pelosi said, those who want to praise Jackson can do so during designated times for floor speeches that usually occur at the beginning and end of the legislative day.

"A resolution, I think, would open up to contrary views that are not necessary at this time to be expressed in association with a resolution whose purpose is quite different," Pelosi said.

Have we no shame? Jackson, and good riddance I might add, to his pongy effluence, was a pederast, a wanker and a child molester of the first order who shuffled off to Quatar to practice his malevolence after his exposure. And we lionize this demon? Have we no shame?

Wow! This has got to be the smartest thing I've ever seen Pelosi do. If our government officials feel they need to commemorate Michael Jackson they should do so on their own time. His life was mixed bag, like so many entertainers, and for our government to spend time and paper on a resolution is rediculous. Thankfully Ms. Nancy saw the light on this particular issue.

This is the only thing I have seen Nancy Pelosi do that makes sense. Now is she can just change her mind on health care and Climate change- all will be good.

When the question was asked she clenched her teeth and forced a smile. I agree with others. This is the first decision she has made that I agree with. Sheila Jackson will just have to lose a few black votes.

Any other time, Pelosi would have endorsed something like this MJ tribute! Apparently, he must not have donated to her campaign! She's a piece of work!

Thank God someone finally had the nuts to shut that woman up. She's nothing more than a female version of Al Sharpton. They're both still stuck in the 60's. Get over it. Pretty soon you'll have a Michael Jackson Blvd in every black neighborhood in this country, just like you do with MLK.

This is the first time I have agreed with Pelosi. Other evil people, including Hmas leaders, have done "humanitarian" things like building clinics but they don't deserve recognition either.
