Reid to announce public option stance

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., is planning an afternoon press conference to reveal whether the Senate health care bill will include a public health insurance option.

Reid has been working for days on how to combine a moderate version of health care reform proposed by the Senate Finance Committee with a much more liberal version put forward by the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions panel. The Finance bill proposes privately run health insurance co-operatives while the Senate HELP bill calls for a robust public option. Democratic aides say Reid is likely to go for compromise that would allow the states to "opt out" of a public option. Stay tuned.

I'd love to read this bill, what happened to Obama's promise of no secrets? It's no secret that this socialist government is planning to take over health care one way or the other - vote them all out!

This bill is bad. Nancy Pelosi want to rename it from the Public Options to the Comsumer Option. She wants to make it look different with a new name. I have to say no matter how you dress this up it't the same bill. Like the platic surgery she has done on her face it's still you Nancy.
