Stimulus update: $514K per job 'created or saved' in Dayton

The Dayton Business Journal reports:

The Dayton area overall has created or saved more than 623 jobs as a result of the $320 million in stimulus funding that has been awarded.

If you don't live in Dayton, you'll be happy to know that the federal government took your tax dollars and spent $514,000 per job to get Daytonians back to work. And that's assuming, contrary to our experience ,so far that the jobs reported as "created or saved" are for real.

I feel so good about it.

How's that hope and change workin'out?

This administration and Dem led congress is so full of losers and loser ideas. Either they are so stupid, so arrogant, or both, that they can't admit that they are making the economic problems much worse and wasting A LOT of money. I vote for both stupid and arrogant- Obama included.

Mr. Freddoso - You do realize that stimulus money goes to buying materials and equipment, paying rent, as well as providing services, don't you? You can't just take all the jobs created in Dayton and divide it by all the money that went into Dayton as if wages were the only thing that stimulus money went towards.

You know it wasn't the only thing the money went to, so why do you write your article as if it was? This is why nobody in the Washington area takes the Examiner seriously.

We can also see the signs of a proposal for a second stimulus bill. Of course, this second stimulus will be much more effective and produce jobs for a mere $500k or so.

With all these 'expensive expenditures' you cite - you still believe the $514,000 PER EMPLOYEE is a success?

Sorry, bub. You sound like another useful idiot..

Another O'Bargain from the ObaMarxist administration. Of course, as usual, the lion's share of the $320 Million likely went to politicians and administrators, to get them to SAY that 623 jobs were created, saved, or imagined!

While I am happy for those 623 new employees, I have to ask what they spent the $514,000 per job on to bring them on? Look, this goes beyond democrat and republican, this is just stupid spending (a total of $320,222,000 for 623 people). Did these individuals actually get the whole amount for the job? If so, they've hit jackpot and kudos to them.

Kearney said the home renovation will help Roberts get in and out of the bathroom and use the sunroom in her bathroom renovation. Also, she has access to a kitchen sink and countertop that have kitchen renovation.
