Straight from Hollywood: Sarah Palin and the Fourth Reich

Eli Roth, the horror-movie director who created a film-within-a-film in the new picture Inglourious Basterds, was asked by Time Out New York about how the experience affected him:

QUESTION: You directed a fake Nazi propaganda film that airs in the middle of Inglourious Basterds. Was that the most twisted thing you’ve ever made?

ANSWER: I thought I had made some horrific movies before, but there I was, filming that propaganda movie, Nation’s Pride. The whole thing is this guy in a bell tower shooting American soldiers and it’s all supposed to be about the glory of Hitler and the power of the swastika.

I’m in the scene where they watch the movie. So there I am, a Jewish director, sitting with 300 Nazi extras watching this movie and going crazy. They’re in character and acting, but hearing them yell “Heil Hitler!” and “Kill the Jews!” in German, my stomach dropped. I looked at Quentin [director Quentin Tarantino] and said, “What have I done? Did I just start the Fourth Reich? This movie is going to reignite the Nazi party and they’re going to make me their Sarah Palin!”

If I were Palin's attorney I would sue for this egregious slander .What we can do that will cost Roth & bradjolina is to boycott this and every film that they have any part in - whether it is a screenplay, pre, production,or post producers role etc.

What a hack and a putz!A film within a film is a well known device-nothing revolutionary about it.A couple examples that come to mind are "Day for Night" and "the Parallax View" -from the 70's no less.I guess scrounging around for past works that are off the radar someone devoid of any creativity or honor could "shoplift" ideas &pass them off as their own .Not even rising to level of pathetic...P.S. Lawsuit and or Boycott is appropriate

What a jerk to compare himself to Sarah. He probably thinks Patton was the bad guy for killing Nazis.

IF YOU BOTCOTT THIS MOVIE, YOU'RE AN ANTISEMITE. It shows Jews beating the cr-p out of Nazis. That's a good thing.

I wonder if Tarantino is aware of Obama's address to the UN expressing his plans for Israel?

I wonder how many Jews will applauded his message to the people of the world.

What Tarantino has done over and over again is use a plot that justifies sadistic violence and then he bathes his audience in it. He is getting rich selling fantasies of perversion. Of course there is nothing new about that in Hollywood (home of the Democratic Party's biggest individual donors).
