Powerline:

Ask yourself this question: Suppose that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed's trial results in an acquittal or a hung jury. Would the Obama administration really let him go? If so, they are crazy. If not, why are they holding the trial?

PROBABLY WOULD.
WHAT IF HE GOT A JUDGE THAT HATED SO CALLED TORTURE IE.WATER BOARDING? OR
NUMEROUS OTHER THINGS THAT LIBS DON'T
LIKE. THIS MAN SHOULD BE TRIED BY A MILITARY TRIBUNAL. THEN SHOT OR HUNG OR BOTH.

My first comment was lost so here it is again.
They probably would.
What if he gets a liberal judge that doesn't like torture ie:Waterboarding, or something else that libs don't like.
This man should be tried by military tribunal, then shot or hung, or both.

This is the way it will play out. Trial begins, Prosecutor objects to all the evidence the defense wants to enter. Judge eventually calls mistrial because letting in all the evidence would compromise national security, but not letting it in is not "fair". Obama gets to say we couldn't compromise national security, Terrorists go free.
Anyone want to bet?

I wouldn't bet on anything the Obama administration does or might do or might not do, for that fact. Every day it's a new "adventure" in Alice in Wonderland.

Not gonna happen. They have a solid case against this man,he will be tried and convicted-slam dunk. We still live in a country where you are entitled to a fair trial, face your accusers, call all witnesses on your behalf, you know decency, truth, the constitution-back to all the things this great country stands for.

While the final plan is being reviewed / consolidated by Rahm and his associates, there have been discussions that upon the jury being hung (instead of the alleged terrorist) that in an effort to make up for the freedoms denied while imprisoned, Khalid is being considered for a leadership role in ACORN, where no one will risk push back for fear of violating any new P.C. laws.

All the legal entanglements and not respecting the "suspect's" "rights". I vote for acquittal NOW. In fact, he is a victim of abuse. Yeah, he's a victim. He should sue the Feds for all the violations of rights and loss of income from being off of work.
They should have unceremoniously shot the SOB.

Heck YEAH he'd let 'em go. What do you think these trials are FOR? It is not a coincidence that his very sympathetic to detainees AG's company represents a a bunch of 'em at Gitmo. This is a way for Obama to show his "sympathy" with his muslim brethren while being able to say "We tried."

And it would be the biggest "Bush lied" he could make. The left would be THRILLED.

Obama and his mob are only going to be around until 2012 anyway. Maybe the trial can last that long and then be handled correctly. The victims families are the losers here. Obama needs more date nights and less messing with stuff above his pay grade...
