Town hall violence -- by Obama supporters

President Obama recently e-mailed followers to attend local town halls, and his deputy chief of staff promised to "punch back twice as hard" in the health care debate. Neither of them probably expected their backers to "get in the faces" of their opponents quite this much. Or to punch anyone -- not literally, anyway.

In Saint Louis, the Post-Dispatch reports that Kenneth Gladney, a conservative activist, was distributing Gadsden Flags at a town hall meeting for Rep. Russell Carnahan, D-Mo., when he was allegedly beaten by a group of Obama supporters. One of them reportedly flung racial epithets at him (he is black). Gladney ended up in the Emergency Room, and six people ended up in jail, including a reporter for the Post-Dispatch whom police accused of interfering. Carnahan was not present at the town hall when the incident happened.

The details of this incident are still being sorted out this morning.

This is the very same thing Hitler's SA (aka Brown Shirts, Storm Troopers, Jackbooted Thugs) did during the Nazi's rise to power in Germany. They publicly beat down (sometimes to death) any and all opposition part5y members. They stormed in and disrupted opposition party meetings.

It's one thing to have a known racist in the White House (yes, Barack Hussain Obama, or is it Barry Soetoro?)...but to have him and his minions degrade honest, concerned voters by calling them names, like swastika covered Nazi's, too sharp looking to be regular people, or Astroturf, makes me sick to my stomach.

These are the same people who nominate an illegitimate man to the highest position in this country, and have the nerve to demand their growing opposition to keep quiet while they destroy what is left of our country?

They all need to be removed from office ASAP and be brought back down to the Real World, like the rest of the common folk in this country paying their salaries, bonuses, and perks on our taxpayer money. WE THE PEOPLE 2010!

@ "You Know Who": opposing the president is not illegal, nor is it, as you suggested, treasonous. Protesting, free speech, that's exercising your rights. I'm not sure what you mean suggesting that our days are numbered, but I assure you, we won't go down without a fight. The president isn't the highest law in the land, even he is under the constitution; a document he tries to circumvent on a daily basis.

I served under a President that I did not like nor agree with on his policy but if I had been ordered to go into combat by his and congress's declairation of war I would have done so to protect your right to show everyone your ignorance.

You know who! Dear sir, I am 70 years old. Obama doesn't want me to live, that's plain. He's planning to withhold stents from my heart (the U.K. would) and cortisone injections from my stenotic spine (the U.K. would). Now, do I understand from your comment that it is my duty to respect the President personally and his office and to conspire with him to shorten my life span? Am I to understand that I am unpatriotic if I respectfully dissent? Is my life something I must trust to the President's benevolence and grovel before some radical democrat to preserve.
