There are many reasons to be appalled at this article. Calling Russia weakened is an excellent way to infuriate a proud empire that can slaughter its neighbors with impunity, as Georgia found out. Russia remains a rogue state, and the fact that our vice president doesn't understand their lack of regard for America is indeed a scandal.

But getting bent out of shape of using Christ as an exclamation? For Pete's sake, focus on what's important, Tapscott. Criticizing Biden for that language and ignoring his profound ignorance is like criticizing Lenin for his baldness and ignoring his murderous ideology. Even if he did apologize, it wouldn't mean anything. Jesus means nothing to him. And one thing Christians should be clear on, but they often aren't, you cannot force someone to love or even recognize Christ. Unlike Islam, where there is conversion by sword, we are to love our neighbor, our brother, our enemy. No forced apologies here would pass muster with God, so why would we demand one?

I am very sad that Vice-President Biden decided to use the name of our Lord in this way. Many think they are too smart or too worldy to believe in God, the one who created all things and all people. All have been given chances in their lives to accept Jesus as their Saviour but those who have rejected Him will learn when it is too late and they no longer have a chance that God's way is the only way. Sheesh. Taking the Lord's name in vain means swearing an oath by God and then breaking it. Using "Jesus Christ!" as an intensifier is _not_ taking His name in vain. How does that even make sense?

Now, saying, for example, "God Hates Fags" offends me to my core. But it's still not taking the Lord's name in vain. And yet I've never seen anyone here objecting to _that_ usage.

And who on Earth do you all think you are, deciding whether another man's relationship with God is up to snuff? Didn't your Moms bring you up any better?

SJohn, we are not to take any of God's names lightly in any form. Be it God the Father, God the Son or God the Holy Spirit. He is the most Holy and above all. He's not your drinking buddy, home boy or any other disrespectful terms that are used today. He is God and His name is not to be taken lightly.

As for that "God hates fags" website it is offensive. God hates the sin, not the person. The sinner can repent, turn to Jesus and be saved and God would welcome them into Heaven.
