In 1991, there was only one ceasefire with government of Sri Lanka. The negotiations (1990) failed because the government did not provide any form of political devolution to Tamils. The last ceasefire was broken by Sri Lankan government (2008). Your article clearly shows how unknowledgeable you are on the matter of Sri Lankan ethnic conflict. Perfect fit to be a columnist for WSJ!

As a Hindu, I should be disturbed by the defeat of the LTTE, but as a human being, I believe they should have been ground into dust 25 years ago. The Sri Lankan government made one big mistake - it should have torn them limb from limb at the beginning instead of listening to the left-wing whiners all over the world for 25 years.
