An interesting article about the importance of CO2 in our atmosphere.

OK already, so SOME CO2 is good for growing trees and crops, but we can get too much of a good thing. Let's not forget that polar and glacier ice is melting, changing sea levels and weather patterns, and that we (the whole population of our planet) are pouring more global warming gasses into the atmosphere and more pollutants into our environment. Scientists are agreed that we have to greatly reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, too much of which come from unstable countries and which, in any event, are finite. The US and all other governments need to take serious steps to protect our environment for our children and grandchildren.

If plants will absorb more C02, then why do we have an excess of C02 in the sky? How is adding more C02 to the sky going to help plants if the plants haven't used all of the C02 that's there to begin with? What you do in a greenhouse and what you do outdoors are two differant things. Humans don't get to tell God's plants which ones will absorb more C02 and which ones won't. We don't get to tell weeds not to absorb more C02 to grow more and cause farmers to buy more herbicides and cause the price of food to increase. We also don't get to tell God's oceans to ignore the increased C02. How much science does one really have to know to understand "You can't fool mother nature."
