Obama Cairo speech settles Muslim-Jewish feud

News fairly unbiased. We report. You decipher.

U.S. President Barack 'Hussein' Obama's historic speech in Cairo, Egypt, Thursday appears to have cleared up what Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak now calls "the big Middle East mix up and this silly old religious feud."

"Sometimes it just takes a fresh set of eyes to a look at a problem," said the Israeli leader, as he walked through the Gaza Strip on his way to the new Palestinian homeland for an informal brunch with leaders of Hamas and Fatah. "President Obama was right. We all want the same things. We all have common values. We all worship the same God. I feel like such a knucklehead that I didn't figure this out sooner."

In Iran, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad welcomed Obama's call for dialogue without preconditions.

"I suppose I've been a bit unreasonable, testy, even dictatorial at times," said the contrite Iranian leader. "After that speech, I feel like my eyes have been opened. How could I have missed all of the common ground we share with America and Israel. I'm going to have Barack over to the house, and let him know that Iran's nuclear ambitions can take a back seat to our desire for true brotherhood and unity. And boy, do I ever owe those Jews a big apology?"

After the speech, leaders of one Arab monarchy after another announced plans to hold democratic elections, release political prisoners, and to allow women the freedom to attend school, to vote, to dress as they please and to run for political office.

Meanwhile, at the Dome of the Rock, in Jerusalem, Jews, Muslims and Christians joined in singing praise to "the one true God called by many names who just wants us all to get along." The worship service was followed by a old-fashioned Southern Baptist picnic with pulled-pork sandwiches, potato salad with bacon bits, and sweet tea.

BWHAHAHAA! I'm forwarding that to the White House. I hope all the readers send it to their congressional reps. What many will miss is that Scott is not attacking the president, but rather the doe-eyed misty media who wrote about this speech as though it's actually going to affect the intractable Middle East situation. Love this: "I suppose I've been a bit unreasonable, testy, even dictatorial at times," said the contrite Iranian leader.

And to think, all this time, all these centuries, all we needed was "... the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy ..." to show us the way.

Within moments, once I began to watch this historic speech, I could almost hear a choir singing "Kum Ba Yah" faintly in the background; this despite the deafening roar of applause, wails of adulation, stomping of feet and maniacal hoots.

I would imagine that these collegial brunches will NOT feature bacon or scrapple. (Ha! Ha!) Should testiness arise, Bloody Marys will be on order. For the Muslims, I suppose that they will have to settle for virgin Marys. Obama has mastered the skill of speaking softly and talking out both sides of his mouth. Equivocation will do that to a politician.

"The Won" will read this and believe he has saved the world -- thereby annointing him "czar" for life....

Gee, I hope that Potato Salad doesn't have hard boiled egg in it. That really gives a stinky non-kosher, almost halal, smell and taste to it. But the Bacon-Bits are so good they might overcome anybody's objection to the smell. PS I was a Marine in fall of '56 when instead of having an amphibious exercise at Camp LeJeune we sailed up to Norfolk and traded blue ammo for the green stuff, getting ready to go over and kick the Brits, French and Jews out Egypt at Ike's direction. They're right we never did anything for the Arabs. For olainfree, That's 70 Virgin Marys! I'll have you know.

I realize that this opinion piece is totally tongue-in-cheek. However, it is sobering to realize how many have died and will yet die because of this ancient blood feud over inheritance rights and religious doctrines. Islam in the intollerant factor in the mix.

This is the most sickening and disgusting piece of yellow journalism to be printed in a very long time. Obama did NOTHING to advance the prospects for peace. This is more media kiss-assing.
