House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said during a brief press conference this morning that she didn’t watch Sen. Rand Paul’s nearly 13-hour filibuster yesterday, but hopes Democrats will do something similar in the future.

“There are certain things that fall into the category of ‘life is too short,’” she told reporters, shrugging. “I myself had, what, four speeches to make last night. I was doing my own thing. have my own responsibilities.”

That doesn’t mean she wasn’t paying attention.

“I took note that it was happening,” Pelosi added, “and let me say that I hope the Democrats will use the filibuster some time as well, in that way.”
