Prince George's County police have charged a D.C. man who allegedly robbed a Bowie bank while dressed as a woman.

Police obtained a warrant for Reginald Andre Taylor, 48, of the 2800 block of Langston Place S.E., who police said robbed a Capitol One Bank branch on the 6100 block of High Bridge Road in Bowie.

Taylor, sporting a wig, a long necklace and a colorful dress, walked into the bank at about 9 a.m. on Aug. 7 and handed a teller a note demanding money, according to police.

Police charged Taylor with armed robbery and first-degree assault. He was picked up on different charges and is currently in a West Virginia jail, according to Cpl. Maria McKinney, who said Prince George's County police are awaiting his extradition back to Maryland.
