At 10:50 a.m. staffers for Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., showed up with coffee.

Brought to you by Corner Bakery.

And as the bells tolled at 11:00 a.m., Paul strode up to the stairs. Rep. Brett Guthrie, R-Ky. was there to meet him.

Then Rep. Mick Mulvaney, R-S.C. arrived.

"Hi. I'm Lyndsey Graham," he joked.

Then Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wy. showed up.

And Sen. Johnny Isakson, R-Ga.

"Hi Johnny!" they said as they greeted him.

Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., joined them.

And then Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine.

Sen. Tom Carper, D-Del. arrives! Bi-partisanship!

"Let's all hold hands and sing kum-ba-ya," he said.

The event attracted a crowd of spectators.

And lots of media.

And they all talked about baseball.

At 11:30 a.m. they all left.

But wait! Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss. arrives!

After apologizing for his tardiness he informs the press he was in a classified briefing on Syria.

Maybe next time!
