D.C. police are investigating the deaths of two men who were found shot in Northwest Washington this week.

About 8 p.m. Monday, police went to the unit block of Hamilton Street NW, which is not far from Rock Creek Cemetery, and found 22-year-old Rhett Gelb, of Takoma Park, suffering from a gunshot wound, and he was taken to a hospital and admitted in critical condition. On Wednesday, Gelb died from his injuries, police said.

At about 6 p.m. Wednesday, police went to the 5300 block of 14th Street NW, in the 16th Street Heights neighborhood, and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man, who has not yet been identified, died at the scene, said police spokeswoman Saray Leon.
