Irony is lost?: New poll says Walmart is America

Baseball, apple pie ... and Walmart?

According to a poll just released from Vanity Fair and "60 Minutes," respondents overwhelmingly picked mega-retailer Walmart as the company that best symbolizes America today.

"True, some of those people might have meant that cynically. (But only a cynic would really think that)," the article on the poll results.

But before you go tweet this to your friends, know this: 39 percent of respondents think Twitter is a fad, and will disappear before you can type your 140 characters.
