Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump by 4 points, 43-39, in a four-way race among likely voters in Florida in a new University of North Florida poll.

Clinton's 4 point advantage in a state that many have in the "tossup" category grew slightly from UNF's previous poll conducted earlier in the month that showed her leading by 3 points, 41-38.

"This poll has an even distribution of Democrats and Republicans, however in this election Democrats are outperforming their historical norms in absentee and early voting," said UNF's Michael Binder to WJXT Channel 4 in Jacksonville. "If this trend continues through Election Day, Clinton could expand this margin and easily win Florida."

Incumbent Republican Sen. Marco Rubio, however, is far outperforming the GOP nominee at the top of the ticket. Rubio leads his Democratic challenger, Rep. Patrick Murphy, by 6 points, 49-43.

UNF's poll of 836 likely voters in Florida was conducted by telephone from Oct. 20-25. The poll has a plus or minus 3.39 percentage point margin of error.
