Queen Elizabeth expressed her condolences Friday to the victims of Hurricane Harvey.
"I was deeply saddened to learn of the loss of life and the devastation following the recent terrible floods caused by Hurricane Harvey," a statement from the Queen read.
The White House said Thursday roughly 100,000 homes have been affected by Hurricane Harvey and the flooding that hit parts of southeastern Texas.
"Prince Philip and I send our sincere condolences to the victims of this disaster, to those who have lost loved ones, and to those who have seen their homes and property destroyed. My thoughts and prayers are with those affected," the statement read.
The president has also heard from the leaders of Mexico and Canada, who have called to express their "condolences, their prayers and thoughts," as well as assistance, Tom Bossert, a White House homeland security adviser, said.
This week marks the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana's death.
