Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz snapped a "selfie" with President Obama on Tuesday using a Samsung phone, which was quickly retweeted by Samsung's Twitter account.

Samsung admitted that they had helped Ortiz get the selfie with Obama after he signed an endorsement deal with the company Monday.

“We were thrilled to see the special, historic moment David Ortiz captured with his Galaxy Note 3 during his White House visit,” the company told the Boston Globe. “It was an honor to help him capture such an incredible and genuine moment of joy and excitement.

But before his deal with Samsung, Ortiz was using an iPhone.
