The Redskins remain a strong option for free agent corner Antoine Winfield, a league source said Monday night.

Winfield was visiting Seattle on Monday night and a fourth team, another that made the postseason, is trying to persuade him to visit them as well. The source declined to name the fourth team, though Denver has reportedly had interest.Winfield’s old team, Minnesota, also remains interested.

There’s no firm timetable as to when Winfield will make a decision, but he’d like to make it soon, a source with knowledge of the situation said. One benefit for the Redskins: their proximity to Winfield’s family in Northeast Ohio. His grandparents, with whom he is close, don’t fly and drive to his home games.

The Redskins would need to make a move to afford Winfield, but that is not an issue with his camp. They know there are moves the Redskins can make to squeeze him under the cap.
